Mom, Mama, Mum, Madre. Whatever you call her, Mother’s Day is all about that wonderful lady in your life. What’s the best way to celebrate? With Mother Nature of course!

Sunday, May 8, can be a day of relaxation, and respect for Mum. So head to the beach, and set up a nice umbrella for her. Make sure she’s got a stack of her favorite books or magazines, or for matriarchs who prefer adventure, set up a treasure hunt along one of the Shore’s walking trails. Keep the kiddos occupied with traditional kite-flying and sandcastle-building. Pack a picnic with all of her favorites and don’t forget a homemade card.

If things get hectic and you don’t have time to make your Mom breakfast in bed, the Jersey Shore has you covered.

The Shore is a fantastic place to take her out for brunch or a climb to the top of New Jersey’s tallest lighthouse. And if Mom needs a drink, there’s always a vineyard or winery sure to please!
