The Jersey Shore is always packed with fun things to do, even after the summer season. There are festivities all year long, and, even though you may not be thrilled with the idea of going swimming in the fall, you can still take a nice walk on the beach. In fact, the “off-season” can be the perfect time of year to visit the shore. If you’re ready to find some fun along the shore this fall, why not try some of these seasonally themed festivals:

Fine Crafts Fall Festival and Family Fun Day: This 17th annual event includes, for free: train rides, kids bouncy castle, music, hay toss, and mummy wrap. For a $5 fee, you can also participate in pumpkin painting (the fee covers the pumpkin and paint). There will be food and craft vendors. The event will be held at Memorial Park, Main St. & Route 50, Mays Landing on October 14.

Food Trucks & Football on the Bay: This may not be directly themed for fall, but one of the best parts of fall among sports fans is football. And this event has it. You’ll find food trucks, football games to watch on a large screen, and a beer garden. The event will be held on October 15, from 12pm – 5pm at Philadelphia and Bay Ave in Lavallette, NJ.

Harvest Festival: This event will have hayrides and pumpkin decorating, and there will be trick or treating in their shops. Do you know someone that likes critters? They’ll love the “creepy & crawly, but cute animals.” The Harvest Festival takes place on October 21, from 11am – 5pm in Stone Harbor.
