We’d argue there isn’t much better than a cold ice cream cone on a hot beach day! And, luckily for us, July is National Ice Cream Month!
Jersey has the beaches, now you just have to find the right place to buy your ice cream. We’ve gathered a list of some of the top places in the Jersey Shore area.
- Springer’s Homemade Ice Cream in Stone Harbor: This delicious ice cream shop offers a “heavenly menu.” You’ll find a classic banana split, milk shake, and floats on the menu. There are also some specialties like Fruit Fantasy, which is described as “a delightful drink made with raspberry ice, strawberries, and bananas.”
- Hoffman’s Ice Cream at Point Pleasant Beach: All of their flavors are homemade at this location. They have the traditional choices such as vanilla, chocolate, and chocolate peanut butter. They also have fun options like “Cookie Monster and Jersey Monkey.” Hoffman’s also sells ice cream cakes, and if you’re having a party you can rent their ice cream truck!
- Duffer’s in Wildwood: If you’re looking for a Victorian atmosphere, this is just the place. They not only offer homemade ice cream, but also have a gift shop, miniature golf course, and video arcade. It’s a fun place for the family.
- Hobby Horse Ice Cream in Ocean City: They offer specialty sundaes including “Duke’s Famous Banana Split: vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream, smothered in chocolate sauce, strawberry and pineapple toppings, bananas, whipped cream nuts & a cherry.” You can also order tasty treats like their “Peanut Butter Balls” and drinks from their coffee bar.
There are so many great ice cream places along the Jersey Shore, we can’t list them all. Do you have a favorite that we missed?
